In the South Holiday Classic at South High Torrance:

• Torrance 1, South Torrance 0; Santa Monica 5, Torrance 1: Jamie Moon scored in the 41st minute to lift Torrance (5-1) over Pioneer League rival South in the quarterfinals, but Santa Monica advanced to the final with a dominating semifinal victory. Sarah Barrington scored against Santa Monica. Goalkeeper Sam Durham made 14 combined saves and earned her second shutout. Torrance plays Long Beach Poly for third place next Saturday at 1 p.m.

• Chadwick 2, Laguna Hills 1; Chadwick 1, Long Beach Poly 1 (Chadwick advances on penalty kicks, 2-1): Goalkeeper Sammy Hale made four saves in the shootout against Poly to lead Chadwick (7-1) into next Saturday's 3 p.m. final against Santa Monica. Channing Press and Christen Press each scored against Laguna Hills, and Channing Press added another goal against Poly.

• Bishop Montgomery 4, North Torrance 0; Bishop Montgomery 4, South Pasadena 1: Jaclyn White scored five goals in Bishop Montgomery's two wins. McKenzie McGoldrick added two goals. Danielle O'Neil had three assists for Bishop Montgomery (3-3-1), which plays Chatsworth for ninth place next Saturday at 3 p.m.

El Segundo girls soccer team wins its tournament:
After 18 years, Eagles come through by beating Palisades in the final.

For the first time in the 18-year history of the El Segundo Kiwanis Tournament, the El Segundo girls soccer team won the tournament title by beating Palisades, 2-0, in Saturday's final.

Jenna Rich scored the first goal in the 25th minute, then tournament MVP Natalie Barbosa sealed it with a goal in the 66th minute for El Segundo (6-0).

Coach Juan Mosquera said fullback Kellye Larsen and stopper Kaycee Wilke played well in front of goalkeeper Bronwyn O'Neil, who made six saves for her sixth shutout.

"We've been to the final several times, but it was time for us to take the title," said Mosquera, in his ninth season at El Segundo. "The girls were very aware of that, and they couldn't wait to play in this game."

Crossroads Tournament Championship:

Marlborough 2, Notre Dame Academy 2 (Marlborough wins on penalty kicks, 5-3)
Marlborough (5-0) took the lead in the first half on a penalty kick made by Dominique Vellutato. Monica Jean scored the second goal two minutes into second half. The game-winning save came from sophomore goalie Talia Bolnick, who was the eventual tournament MVP.

In the Aliso Cup Tournament:

• Northwood 3, West Torrance 1; West Torrance 1, Redondo 1: Samantha Hoffman scored in the 66th minute in West's (1-2-2) consolation tie with Redondo.
