  SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I champion. CIF-Southern Section Division IV champion. Santa Monica can make a claim for national No. 1 powered by victories over Central Coast champ Bellarmine, San Diego champ Poway and Southern Section runner-up Newbury Park. In the SCR final against Poway, Juan Magana scored the game-winning goal in OT for a 2-1 victory.
3 Bellarmine Prep San Jose CA 26-1-2 3
  SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section Division I champion. Bellarmine claimed its 13th section title and set a section record with 26 wins. Only a setback to Santa Monica separates the Bells from a possible No. 1 finish.
4 Cinco Ranch Katy TX 17-0-6 4
Although Cinco Ranch tied twice last week, it remains No. 4 since it is the only Texas 5A team still capable of going undefeated. The first loss, likely, will drop this team far in the rankings.
5 Woodlands The Woodlands TX 15-1-3 5
The Woodlands scored three times in the final six minutes to pull out a 3-1 victory over Lufkin in a key district match-up Friday. The Woodlands moves into first in the district and has secured a playoff spot.
6 Kingwood Kingwood TX 20-1-1 6
Kingwood is one of the hottest teams in Texas right now, winning twice last week by 6-0 and 9-0 margins. Kingwood has scored 20 goals in its last three matches.
7 Santa Margarita Rancho Santa Margarita CA 25-2-4 7
  SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division II champion. CIF-Southern Section Division I champion. After the Texas teams play out their season, look for Santa Margarita to move into the FAB 50 Top 5. Santa Margarita edged Cathedral Catholic 1-0 in the SCR final. Santa Margarita had wins over Newbury Park, Quartz Hill and Mater Dei in the playoffs. The team tied Brophy (Ariz.) in the California Cup in early January.
8 Jesuit Dallas TX 17-1-0 9
Ian Kalis scored a pair of goals to help Jesuit rip South Grand Prairie 6-1 last week.
9 Coppell Coppell TX 19-1-2 10
Ben Hill scored four goals last week during Coppell's wins over Newman Smith and Creekview.
10 Poway Poway CA 22-3-4 8
  SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I runner-up. CIF-San Diego Division I champion. Poway pushed No. 2 Santa Monica to overtime before falling 2-1 in the SCR final.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Class 3A champion. Pittsburg avenged its only regular-season loss by defeating Amador Valley for the secgtion title.
12 Brophy Prep Phoenix AZ 22-2-1 13
SEASON COMPLETE. Arizona Class 5A Division I state champion. Brophy defeated Desert Vista in the state final. In December, Brophy went 1-1-1 at the California Cup, drawing with Santa Margarita (Calif.) and losing to an unranked team.
13 Cathedral Catholic San Diego CA 26-3-2 11
SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division II runner-up. CIF-San Diego Division III champion. Cathedral Catholic's postseason run was ended in a 1-0 loss to Santa Margarita in the SCR final.
14 Caddo Magnet Shreveport LA 28-1-0 14
SEASON COMPLETE. Louisiana Division I state champion. Caddo became the first northern Louisiana team to win a state title since 1996 with a 2-1 victory over Baton Rouge-Woodlawn.
15 Tampa Prep Tampa FL 27-2-2 15
SEASON COMPLETE. Florida Class 2A state champion. Tournament MVP Wes Sever scored twice in a 3-0 state final win over Providence. During the season, Tampa Prep and American Heritage played to a draw with Tampa Prep advancing on PKs. That head-to-head result is reflected in the ranking order of these state champs.
16 American Heritage Plantation FL 29-2-1 16
SEASON COMPLETE. Florida Class 3A state champion. Despite a late-season coaching change, American Heritage rolled off 10 wins to nail down its fourth state title in five seasons. Juan Medina, the team's leading scorer, will be one of the few returning starters next winter.
17 Lufkin Lufkin TX 15-2-4 17
Lufkin had a 1-0 lead over league rival The Woodlands in the 74th minute of their match Friday. Then things fell apart. The Woodlands scored three times for a 3-1 victory. Since Lufkin can avenge the loss, it remains in the No. 17 spot.
18 Central Catholic San Antonio TX 22-1-1 18
SEASON COMPLETE. TAPPS Division I state champion. D.J. Kee scored twice as Central Catholic handled St. Thomas (Houston) 4-0 in the final. Central Catholic's national standing will be tied into the Churchill's state showing since Central Catholic played Churchill to a draw.
19 Newbury Park Newbury Park CA 16-6-3 19
  SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I quarterfinalist. Newbury Park's last two matches this season were 1-0 losses to Top 10 teams Santa Monica at the SCR and Santa Margarita in the section final. Wins over San Clemente and Los Alamitos helped Newbury Park vault into the Top 25.
20 Amador Valley Pleasanton CA 19-4-4 20
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section Class 3A runner-up. The Dons, the EBAL champion, finished second to Pittsburg in the section tournament. Amador Valley handed Pittsburg its only loss of the season during the regular season.
21 Marcus Flower Mound TX 17-3-3 21
Marcus is riding an 11-match undefeated streak as the teams come down the home stretch of District 6-5A play.
22 Los Alamitos Los Alamitos CA 23-4-3 22
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I semifinalist. Los Alamitos lost to Newbury 1-0 in the semifinals. Los Al posted victories over San Clemente, Chino Hills and Millikan during the season.
23 Mater Dei Santa Ana CA 18-6-4 23
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I semifinalist. Mater Dei lost to league rival Santa Margarita in the section semifinals. The match marked the end for coach Martin Stringer, who is stepping down as coach and AD at the school.
24 La Habra La Habra CA 25-3-2 24
SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division III champion. La Habra's 2-1 victory over Saddleback in the CIF-Southern Section Division III final resulted in a move into this week's Top 25 for the first time in school history. La Habra, however, declined a spot in this week's California Southern Regional championships.

SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I quarterfinalist. CIF-Southern Section Division III runner-up. Saddleback, which lost to La Habra in the section final, pushed Poway to PKs before falling in the SCR.

SEASON COMPLETE. Florida Class 6A state runner-up. Cypress Bay pushed Varela to PKs before losing in the final. Cypress Bay led the match 1-0 until Varela evened the score in the 50th minute. Cypress Bay's playoff run included wins over Wellington and Ocoee, and the team emerged from a bracket that included Alonso, Gaither, Boca Raton and Palm Beach Central.

  SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I semifinalist. CIF-LA Section champion. Banning pulled off a slight surprise in an SCR quarterfinal win over Clovis West. Banning's season ended with a 3-1 loss to Santa Monica.

SEASON COMPLETE. Southern California Regional Division I quarterfinalist. After upsetting Bulalrd for its third straight second crown, Clovis West lost to Banning in the SCR.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Section runner-up. Top-seeded Bullard lost to second-seeded and two-time defending champ Clovis West 1-0 in the section final. Bullard defeated Clovis West during the regular season.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section quarterfinalist. Millikan's season ended with a loss to Los Alamitos.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I quarterfinalist. The Long Beach teams, Millikan and Cabrillo, took an earlier-than-expected exit from the section playoffs. Cabrillo's season ended with a loss to Mater Dei.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section quarterfinalist. Gilroy, which had a regular-season win over Watsonville, lost to Overfelt in the playoffs.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section first-round exit. Watsonville was eliminated from postseason play by Overfelt. During the season, Watsonville and De La Salle tied and the Wildcatz split with Pajaro Valley.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Central Coast Section Division II champion. Pajaro Valley, which tried to get into the Division I playoffs, settled for a Division II title. During the season, PV split with Watsonville.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-North Coast Section quarterfinalist. De La Salle's season ended with a loss to San Ramon Valley. During the regular season, the Spartans drew with Watsonville and Santa Margarita.

SEASON COMPLETE. Mississippi Class 5A state champion. The top half of the 5A draw featured the state's top three-ranked teams, and Northwestern Rankin emerged from that grouping before winning the state title.

SEASON COMPLETE. CIF-Southern Section Division I quarterfinalist. Quartz Hill pushed Santa Margarita before losing 1-0 in the playoffs.

SEASON COMPLETE. Florida Class 6A regional runner-up. Wellington, a state runner-up last year, had its postseason run ended with a loss to Cypress Bay, which reached the final.

SEASON COMPLETE. Florida Class 5A state champion. After upsetting Tampa Jesuit in the state semifinals, Wharton defeated St. Thomas Aquinas in the final. Wharton had postseason wins over Freedom and Auburndale, a pair of regionally ranked foes.
