Welcome to the Santa Monica High School Soccer Program 2008-09 This season we have 150 applicants so all of the benches will be full. Serafin Rodriquez is the Head Coach. This program runs with a lot of volunteer support. It is estimated to cost $250 per player. We ask that all of the families make their best effort to give a direct donation of as much as they can afford. All of the other sport programs at SAMO have a mandatory fee to participate. We hope with all of your help that we will be able to reach our goal of $250 per player without having to instate a mandatory fee. It is Serafin's philosophy that every student selected through try-outs who meets the academic requirements be given the opportunity to represent their school. Practices Every Tuesday and Thursday beginning Tuesday, June 23 through Thursday, July 23 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Your attendance is highly recommended if you wish to participate in the Samohi Soccer Program next year. Scrimmages During the month of July, there will also be some scrimmages scheduled on non-practice days. Tournament The city of Santa Monica will be hosting the Sister City International Soccer Tournament. It will be held Tuesday, July 28 through Friday, July 31. The games will be played at John Adams Middle School and Santa Monica College. We will have 2 boy's teams and 1 girl's team participating in the tournament. The schedule is still to be determined. If you are unable to attend the summer workout sessions and tournament, please contact Serafin at griswlds4@roadrunner.com. |

| DON'T FORGET: Practice begins this Tuesday, June 23, from 3 to 5pm at John Adams Middle School. Teams will be selected on Tuesday for games. Any player not selected for the games will follow the regular practice schedule. Practices Every Tuesday and Thursday beginning Tuesday, June 23 through Thursday, July 30th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at John Adams Middle School. Scrimmages June 24, Wednesday game @Paramount high school at 5pm. July 1, Wednesday home game vs Paramount @JAMS at 3:30. July 8, Wednesday game @ West Torrence at 5pm. July 13, Monday @ South Torrence at 4:30pm. July 22, Wedneday @ Mayfair High School at 3pm. July 27th, Monday home game vs Animo HS @JAMS at 3:30. July 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, Sister City Tournement @JAMS&SMC Boys Varsity will play all the above games. Girls Varsity and lower level teams to be determined. More scrimmages will be scheduled.
