The Monarchs scored three goals in a six-minute span of the second half and held on to win. Taylor Miller scored in the 48th minute, Andrew Self scored in the 52nd minute and Adrian Buonanoce scored the game-winner in the 54th minute for Mater Dei (10-4). Edgar Martinez scored in the 33rd minute and Josh Martinez scored in the 44th minute to give San Marcos (11-3) a 2-0 lead. Thomas St. Germain made three saves and Eric Corbin added two for Mater Dei. Kevin Davis and Emmanu Fuentes each made six saves for San Marcos.

Keith Wooly scored the game-winning goal on a breakaway in the 79th minute and Sergio Magana scored to tie the game two minutes earlier for Capistrano Valley. Ruben Suarez scored in the 43rd minute for Century.
