Ontario Christian 1, San Dimas 0 Zach Oliver scored a goal in the 63rd minute to lead Ontario Christian (4-0) past host San Dimas (2-5). NONLEAGUE Channel Islands 2, Oak Park 1 Anthony Sempero scored for Oak Park (3-3). Channel Islands improved to 5-0. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 TOURNAMENTS BRANDT Championship St. Francis 2, Royal 1 (OT) Third Place Burroughs 2, Westlake 2 (Burroughs wins on penalty kicks, 3-1) Fifth Place El Camino Real 2, North Hollywood 1 Seventh Place Saugus 3, Sylmar 2 Ninth Place Agoura 2, Glendale 1 MVP -- Sean McGuiness, St. Francis BREA OLINDA Pool Play Eisenhower 2, Savanna 1 Daniel Ponce scored the winning goal with 15 minutes remaining to break a 1-1 tie, beating the goalie from 30 yards out, and Eisenhower (5-1-2) overcame an own goal in the first half to defeat Savanna (2-2-1) at Brea Olinda. Teammate Jose Reyna scored in the 45th minute on a throw-in and Daniel Montalvo posted six saves for the victory. HACIENDA HEIGHTS WILSON Walnut 4, Azusa 0 LA CANADA Highland 3, Canyon Country Canyon 3 NONLEAGUE Brentwood 2, Chaminade 0 James O'Connell scored both goals for Brentwood (1-1-3) in the home victory. Norco 1, Ramona 1 Senior midfielder Oliver Lopez scored for host Norco (2-4-1) in the 28th minute on a crossing play and senior forward Edwin Salinas of Ramona (1-0-3) tied the game in stoppage time when he pushed in a rebound of his penalty kick. Norco freshman Adam Zepeda made six saves. Santa Margarita 3, Laguna Beach 0 Seniors Trevor Moylan, Mike Munoz and Casey Wootan each scored a goal for Santa Margarita (3-1-0) at Laguna Beach (3-1). Santa Margarita junior goaltender Billy Thompson had two saves. |
