Jiovanni Mier scored two goals -- one on a penalty kick -- and Cody Gutierrez also scored for Bonita (2-0), which led, 3-0, at halftime. Xavier Murguia scored in the 65th minute for host Don Lugo (1-1).

Juan Herrera scored three goals--his first on a direct free kick--and Alexis Sanudo added a goal for host Eisenhower (1-0-1). Daniel Montalvo made nine saves for his first shutout. Goalie Francisco Martinez made six saves for Santiago (0-2).

Freshman forward Henry Rios had two goals and two assists and senior captain Cosme Garcia added one goal and one assist for host St. John Bosco (2-0), which built a 3-0 halftime lead. Junior goalie Alvaro Chavez made 17 saves for St. Bernard (0-1).

Cameron Krumpe scored in the fourth and the 72nd minutes to lead West Torrance (2-0) over Hawthorne (1-1). Kevin Ingraham scored in the 42nd minute. R.J. Oster had six saves for his first shutout.

Luis Zavala scored the winning goal on a rebound in the 68th minute for Santa Monica (2-0), which rallied from a 3-0 deficit 15 minutes into the game to win at Mayfair (1-1). Artur Jozkowicz scored two goals, the second on a penalty kick in the 50th minute for Santa Monica.

Alonso Pomalazo scored in the sixth minute of play to lead Trabucco Hills (1-0-1) to victory over Capistrano Valley. Capistrano goalkeeper Danny Hernandez had five saves. Trabucco Hills' starting goalkeeper Greg Griffin had one save and backup goalie Cody Adams added five saves.

Tyler Krumpe scored twice, including the eventual game-winner in the 61st minute, and younger brother Cameron Krumpe also had a goal for host West Torrance (1-0) against Bellflower (0-1). Brendan Patel had all three assists for West Torrance and teammate Ryan Oster made 11 saves against Bellflower, which scored during injury time to provide the final margin.

Edgar Correa and Louis Escamilla scored in the first half and Ulysis Cruz had the only goal in the second half for La Sierra at Temescal Canyon in the opening game for both teams.

Eduardo Pantoja scored in the first half for Laguna Hills and Brandon Cortes tied the game for host Trabuco Hills with a goal late in the second half of the opener for both teams.
